Our maiden visit to Buckingham Park in picturesque Boulder, Colorado, was an exciting escapade filled with mixed experiences. The park’s allure as a hot-day retreat, providing a refreshing reprieve from scorching temperatures with its close proximity to the river, had certainly drawn a massive crowd. While the location had its charms, we couldn’t help but notice a few drawbacks that marred our otherwise delightful day.
The first stumbling block we encountered was the limited parking. As we eagerly drove into the parking lot, we witnessed the disappointment of many other visitors who, like us, had anticipated enjoying the park but were forced to leave due to the lack of available spots. Clearly, it’s an issue that the park authorities need to address to ensure more visitors can enjoy its splendor.
Apart from the parking woes, we also had to contend with the persistent and abundant bug population. Grasshoppers leaped in abundance, while flies buzzed incessantly around us. It was an unforeseen challenge, especially when we had to deal with random insects getting entangled in our model’s dress. While the critters were part and parcel of nature, their insatiable appetite and unwelcome intrusion made us yearn for some respite.
The third drawback was the complete absence of cellular service in the park. While it was refreshing to be disconnected from the digital world momentarily, we found ourselves struggling to stay in touch with our clients. Not being able to inform them of our arrival or coordinate effectively disrupted our professional commitments, causing some inconvenience.
Despite these challenges, Buckingham Park possessed a unique and undeniable beauty. The landscape boasted tall grass that swayed gracefully in the gentle breeze, offering a serene and tranquil ambiance. The park’s strategic layout made accessing the refreshing waters of the nearby river remarkably easy, granting us a chance to cool off and embrace nature’s wonders.

The Angel concept, a brainchild of Carly’s creative genius, came to life in a stunning fashion. Hours were devoted to finding the ideal dress, a mesmerizing feathered collar, and other complementary accessories to perfect the ethereal look. As the pieces fell into place, excitement and anticipation built up for the upcoming photoshoot.
Buckingham Park served as an enchanting backdrop, effortlessly complementing the Angel’s heavenly appearance. The picturesque landscape required minimal editing, allowing the natural beauty of the location to shine through in every shot. However, the blazing 2pm sunlight posed a challenge, demanding ingenuity to work around it. Seeking refuge under the welcoming shade of trees became a necessity, and we patiently waited for clouds to grace us with their presence, offering respite from the sweltering summer heat and creating opportunities for those flawless shots.
In some moments of serendipity, the sun’s rays gracefully danced upon the Angel’s feathered ensemble, evoking an aura of divinity. It was as if the heavens themselves were bestowing their blessing upon our creation. Carly’s meticulous attention to detail and the natural interplay of light and shadows enhanced the angelic essence of the photos, turning them into something truly extraordinary.
As the photoshoot progressed, the Angel concept took on a life of its own. The model’s grace and poise brought a tangible sense of otherworldly elegance to each frame.
